Aqui está, o Davy Jones de Piratas do Caribe! Como havia prometido, aqui vão os detalhes!
Comecei em julho de 2007 e terminei hoje...pq tanto tempo!? Pq ele passou mais de 1 ano e meio perdido nas minhas coisas
Também foi o tempo necessário para desenvolver a técnica necessária para fazê-lo...me dei conta que em 2007 seria quase impossível de faze-lo do jeito q eu queria.
Feito com Grafite HB, 4B, 6B e 9B; carvão e pastel a óleo branco em papel Canson A4 Branco.
*Sim, a névoa embaixo, além de servir como estudo de névoa, foi p/querer terminar logo
*Tem outra...podem procurar o quanto quiser por essa imagem na internet...vocês não irão achá-la...este desenho não é uma cópia =]

Okay here it is, Pirates of the Caribbean's Davy Jones! As i promised, here comes the details!
I started it on July 2007 and I finished it today...why did it take so long!? Because I lost hum among my stuff for over a year and half it was also the necessary time so I could reach the necessary technique to draw him...I became aware that, in 2007, it would be nearly impossible to do it the way I wanted.
Done with HB, 4B, 6B and 9B pencils; charcoal and white oil pastel on a white A4 Canson paper.
*Yes, the mist served as a mist study...and to save time and finish this drawing once and for all
*Another one...you may search for that picture on the web for all eternity, you won't find it...this is not a copy =]

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactExcellent skills. Obviously, as you mentioned an original work, not a copy, which makes the work even more remarkable. I believe that the mist was the perfect background choice to bring your beautifully detailed character into the spotlight. I do feel some areas of the mist seem to be forming shapes that are drawing my eye a bit. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but to me it seems odd. Ex. upper left corner and near the arm on the lower left corner. The mist seems smooth throughout the entire image except in these places. This could be seen as somewhat of a distraction. There is also a dark line near the arm on the far right middle. I'm not sure if this dark line in the mist is meant to be an intentional object or not. If it is, perhaps a bit more definition would help make it less distracting. If it is not, I think it might be better to remove it all together and blend it into the already existing background of the mist.
Overall, I feel you have done a wonderful job in creating a unique and eye-catching work of art. While their are a few areas that do seem a little distracting to me, it is all about your intention with these areas and how well you feel your work portrays those intentions. Amazing work!
